The THREE PILLARS explained.
Summit Builder Alliance has 30+ years of homebuilding industry experience. We’ve seen it all. And after three decades, we have determined that every problem an organization faces can be traced back to one or all of only three categories. We call them the THREE PILLARS. It’s a tripod holding up your organization. Kick one of the legs out, and the it can’t stand.
There is also significant overlap in all three pillars. Part of doing communication well requires operational systems in place to have all information readily available. And Culture is much easier to foster if communication is done well. Just a couple examples. The THREE PILLARS are not isolated categories. They require assistance from the others to flourish.
Each pillar is shored up by a number of sub-pillars. Below, you’ll see the sub-pillars listed under each pillar. You can get one or two sub-pillars wrong, and the main pillar can remain standing. Get enough sub-pillars wrong, and that pillar can’t stand.
The THREE PILLARS, along with their sub-pillars, are what Summit Builder Alliance uses to diagnose, assess, and create strategic solutions for residential builders.
This pillar is obvious. If you don’t have operations, you don’t have a homebuilding business. These are the operational items we examine in every company, and develop a game plan to build new or strengthen existing.
